Currently Accepted Donation Items

We keep close tabs on the stock in our Resource Center. To manage and distribute these resources wisely, it’s important that donors follow these items. If you have a donation that does not fit these criteria, please email us for more information.

High Needs List
(These are the items that we are currently out of or are running low on. Clothing and fabric items must be clean, new or in excellent condition, and free from rips, holes, stains, excessive pet hair, and odors)

  • 24 month to youth 18 clothing (preference to shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, and summer dresses)
  • Brand new school supplies and backpacks
  • Microwavable shelf-stable meals and soups (ie: Chef Boyardee, Hormel Compleats, Ramen, Canned soup, etc.)
  • Full sized snacks
  • Full sized shelf-stable beverages
  • Condiments (we are good on peanut butter and jelly)
  • Ramen
  • Canned vegetables (not corn or green beans)
  • Baby towels and washcloths
  • Pacifiers – can be used
  • New children’s socks and underwear
  • Babyproofing safety items (if multiple pieces, please put together in a ziploc bag)
  • Sleep sacks in sizes medium, large, and extra large
  • Girls training bras and youth sports bras
  • Baby scratch mittens
  • Toddler and baby table wear (cups, bowls, plates, utensils – in excellent condition)

Not Accepting

  • Clothing with odors. We appreciate your donations. However, we do not have the ability to launder items prior to putting them on our shelves. Therefore, clothing that smells of cigarette, marijuana, strong food odors, moldy basement, animal urine, etc. will be declined.
  • Used underwear and socks
  • Infant size clothing in newborn to 18 months. We will update this list when we are accepting those sizes again. Please note that we use the 1st number on the tag of the clothing item. If the item is 18-24 months, it is shelved as 18 months and therefore cannot be accepted at this time. 
  • Winter coats, snowpants, snowsuits, mittens, gloves, winter hats, and snow boots . We will begin accepting these items in mid-September
  • “Play quality” or out of date/vintage clothing
  • Due to a large donation of books, we are not currently accepting books at this time. We will update this when books are accepted again. 
  • Stuffed animals or plush toys
  • Adult clothing
  • Juniors sized clothing (ie: teen clothing found in the juniors section)
  • Toys larger than “handheld” size (we do accept children’s games and puzzles with all pieces)
  • Bedding that is larger than crib size
  • Large baby equipment 
  • Medication, vitamins, supplements, razors, or isopropyl alcohol
  • Used breast pumps

 

    Currently Accepted Donations
    (These are all of the items we are currently accepting at our Resource Center. Donors will be expected to wait while we do a brief spot-check of the items they are donating.)

    Nonperishable Food Items

    • Cereal
    • Canned fruit
    • Canned meat
    • Canned vegetables
    • Canned soups and meals (meals like ravioli, spaghetti Os, etc)
    • Baking and cooking items (oil, sugar, flour, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, spices, baking mixes, chocolate chips, etc)
    • Breakfast items (cereal, pancake mix, poptarts, cereal bars, muffin mixes, biscut mixes, oatmeal, etc)
    • Macaroni and cheese
    • Pasta, pasta sauce, pasta meals (Knorr Sides, Hamburger Helper, etc)
    • Condiments
    • Beans (canned or bags of dry beans)
    • Rice and potatoes (boxes or pouches)
    • Snacks
    • Gluten free foods 
    • Juice boxes or bags (ie: Capri sun, Kool-Aid Jammers, etc)
    • Full-sized juice bottles/jugs
    • Coffee/tea
    • Drink mixes
    • Baby snacks (puffs, teething biscuits/crackers/cookies)
    • Baby food
    • Unopened, not-expired baby formula
    • Restaurant/fast food condiment packets

    Personal Care Items
    (No isopropyl alcohol, razors, or medication)

    Household Items

    • Cleaning supplies (all purpose cleaner, glass cleaner, floor cleaner, cleaning wipes, toilet bowl cleaner, shower cleaner, dish soap, dishwasher soap, etc.)
    • Hand soap
    • Paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex)
    • Laundry products (soap, dryer sheets, pods, etc.)
    • Food storage items (plastic wrap, tin foil, wax paper, parchment paper, sandwich bags, etc.)
    • Trash bags
    • New, packaged party supplies (plates, napkins, decorations, candles, etc)

    Children’s Items
    (Clothing must be new or in excellent condition and clean and free from stains, rips and holes. We do not accept vintage/old/out of style clothing. As a reminder – we believe in donations with dignity.) 

    • 24 month to youth size 18 clothing (all seasons accepted. We will update this list once we are accepting newborn to 18 month clothing again. Please note that we use the first number on the tag for shelving purposes. If something is tagged as 18-24months, it is shelved as 18 months and therefore cannot be donated at this time). 
    • New Infant and children’s size socks – we are not accepting used socks
    • New children’s underwear – we are not accepting used underwear
    • New or very gently used children’s shoes (nb to big kids size 6 – no adult sizes)
    • Swaddles and sleep sacks (cannot be weighted)
    • Youth training and youth sports bras
    • New reusable training underwear
    • New Tights
    • Diapers (size 5-7 preferred)
    • Pull-ups and Goodnights/Ninjamas (size 3T/4T, 4T/5T, and 5T/6T preferred). 
    • Baby wipes (unscented fragrance free)
    • Pacifiers/teethers
    • Travel diaper changing mats
    • Breast milk storage bags (only bags, not plastic storage containers)
    • Nursing bras 
    • Nursing covers
